For nearly 45 years, Domestic Abuse Women’s Network has been a leading agency advocating on behalf of survivors of domestic violence in South King County. 

DAWN and offers a wide variety of domestic violence services including but not limited to mobile advocacy, legal advocacy, immigrant advocacy, youth advocacy, and community service officer (CSO) advocacy, mental health services including support groups and Children Domestic Violence Response Team (CDVRT), and one of the few fully confidential emergency shelters in Washington state.

We serve all survivors. Our clients are of all ages, and they identify across all races, speak a variety of languages but are all connected by one commonality: their experience with domestic violence. 

DAWN's mission is to stand will all survivors of domestic abuse, help them rebuild their lives, and strive to make our communities safer by preventing and addressing domestic violence through education and advocacy.

We promote autonomy and encourage survivors to be the leaders of their own journeys. Our advocates provide them with the support they need to rise up and take back control of their lives to find the independence, peace, and love they deserve.

Last year, we served over 1,200 individuals across all our offered services. We are proud of our agency and the dedicated staff and interns who work endlessly to extend their help and compassion to our clients. But we cannot do this work alone.

Community support plays a large role in our agency’s success.
